The American Animal Hospital Association is the only veterinary organization that evaluates practices in the United States on over 900 standards of care. To become AAHA accredited, practices must demonstrate their standards of care in a range of areas to maintain the highest level of quality. These areas can include pain management, record-keeping, communication, anesthesia, dental care, end-of-life care, behavior management, diabetes management, senior care, canine vaccination, oncology, mentoring, nutritional assessment, and much more.
