Dr. Elena Shirley believes that exceptional veterinary care begins with something simple but powerful: listening.
Whether a pet is suddenly ill, has suffered an unexpected injury, or simply isn’t acting like themselves, she understands how unsettling those moments can be for the families who love them. Her goal is to help every client feel heard, reassured, and confident that their companion is receiving thoughtful, compassionate care.

A graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Shirley brings 17 years of experience in small animal medicine, surgery, and urgent care, advanced diagnostic skills and certification in veterinary acupuncture.

She embraces a philosophy of servant leadership; grounded in humility, integrity, collaboration, and respect. She believes that excellent medicine and genuine kindness belong together, especially when families are facing unexpected and sometimes difficult decisions.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Shirley enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life, taking the time to explain medical findings, answer questions, and work alongside pet owners to determine the best path forward.

Above all, she considers it a privilege to care for animals and the people who love them, bringing experience, compassion, and a steady, reassuring presence to every visit.
